Chapter 26

Part two

Dear Diary,

Well, I was now on my way to New York City, headed to the New York Dance Academy of Performing Arts. I still can’t believe I decided to do this. My nerves are consuming me. After all, I just left Ann Arbor—the place I had lived my entire life.

Now I was going to the Big Apple, a place completely different from Michigan. From what I heard the city was huge, and there was always something going on. I remember Leo telling me how noisy it was. He went on a work trip with his father once when he was younger.

Wow, will I be able to make it there? Will I be good enough? Will I get along with people? Oh my, this is so nerve-wracking. I need to just stay positive. There was no need to be negative. Leo always believed I could do it, and I have the support of all my dance teachers—not to mention Keyla and Courtney. Also, Dean Array would never have asked me if he didn’t see something he liked. Right?

Besides, Mom and Dad and Leo’s parents all believed in me. Here’s to a new chapter in my life. This is it for now, Diary.
